Rachel Anne McAdams
Rachel Anne McAdams was born on the 17th
of November 1978, in London, Ontario, Canada Rachel Anne McAdams was the
daughter of Sandra Kay (Gale), nurse and Lance Frederick McAdams, a truck
driver and furniture mover. She is Englishas well as Welsh-, Irish--, and
Scottish. Rachel began acting as an adult. By the age 13 she was performing in
Shakespearean productions at the summer theater camps. Following graduation,
Rachel received a BFA degree from York University in Theater. After appearing
in Disney's The Famous Jett Jackson episode (1998) and later, she appeared in
Slings and Arrows, a Canadian comedy-drama that chronicles the struggles and
triumphs of an Shakespearean theatre group. In 2003, she won an award called a
Gemini award. Her performance as Regina George, in Mean Girls (2004), instantly
earned her the attention of Hollywood's most coveted young actresses. After
that, she landed the role of a major character opposite Ryan Gosling in the
adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks bestseller The Notebook (2004), which was a
surprise box-office hit and quickly became the main romantic drama for a new
younger generation of moviegoers. McAdams met Gosling while filming. They dated
until mid-2007. McAdams' next film was comedy Wedding Crashers (2006), the action
thriller Red Eye (2004), as well as the holiday-themed drama The Family Stone
((2005)). McAdams also explored independent films through Married Life (2007)
which was screened at the Toronto Film Festival. It also included Pierce
Brosnan and Chris Cooper in addition to Patricia Clarkson. McAdams was seen in
The Lucky Ones (2007) and State of Play (2008) in State of Play (2008) and The
Lucky Ones (2007), respectively. She also appeared in the film The Time

Glory (2010). McAdams also played Owen Wilson's fiancee, who was a materialist
in Midnight in Paris (2011). McAdams then returned to the romantic drama genre
in The Vow (2012) with Channing Tatum. The actress also stars with Ben Affleck
in Terrence Malick's To the Wonder (2012) as well as alongside Noomi Rapace in
Brian de Palma's thriller Passion (2012).In 2005, McAdams received ShoWest's
"Supporting Actress of the Year" Award and the "Breakthrough
Actress of the Year" at the Hollywood Film Awards
