Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural at sports early in her life, and discovered her ability to sprint when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she came in second place in the 200-meter race on the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the sports company Adidas after which she enrolled in the University of Southern California where she studied elementary school. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She set an Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest World Champion in the 200m of all time at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, over her former Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently at the top of the podium throughout her events during the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
