Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki was conceived in Miami, Florida on November 30 1977. Steve Aoki is an American electro house musician and record producer. He is also a D.J. & music executive. He's the third child of Chizuru Kobayashi and Rocky Aoki. His father, a former wrestler, was also the co-founder of the restaurant chain Benihana. He has two siblings, sister Kana (who is sometimes called by her middle name Grace) & brother Kevin (owner of Doraku Sushi restaurant). His half-sister's model and actress Devon Aoki. He grew up in Newport Beach, California & graduated from Newport Harbor High School in 1995. There, he was a member of the team for badminton on the varsity. After finishing his studies at UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree, the student attended UC Santa Barbara. degrees, one in feminist studies & the one in sociology. He was a college student who produced records by himself and also held underground shows in his Biko area at the Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative. The venue was used for concerts, and the apartment became known as The Pickle Patch. He was also involved in student activities at UCSB as the founder of the Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League chapter on campus. At the age of 20, the singer had established his own label, that was called Dim Mak. It was a reference to the idol of his youth Bruce Lee.
