Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy band formed in the year 2009. The group is made up of Kendall Schmidt,
James Maslow and Logan Henderson. In 2009 they signed with Nick Records before
moving to Columbia Records. The group appeared on Nickelodeon's television
series of the identical name, Big Time Rush. The show aired from the beginning
of November 28, 2009 through July 25 2013. The pilot episode showcased the
group's first single for promotion, "Big Time Rush". The band has
released three albums, including BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011, and 24/Seven ,
released in 2013. In 2014, the group went on an indefinite hiatus that lasted
up to 2021. They returned to live performances in the studio, and then came out
with "Call It Like It's Seeing It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time
Rush to a record deal in 2009 concurrently with the tv show, Big Time Rush.
Nickelodeon was then joined by Columbia/Epic Label Group in order to create the
series and also provide new music. The show's debut single, "Big Time
Rush" was released on the 29th of November in 2009. The song was
officially revealed on Nickelodeon, it first aired in the U.S. November 2009
and was later broadcast worldwide. It was featured on a preview of the series
for one hour and is the show's opener. Promo singles such as "City is
Ours", "Any Kind of Guy" and others were also made available
during the course of the series. Big Time Rush performed "Famous" by
Play. The song came out on iTunes on June 29, 2010. Another track,
"Halfway There", was released to iTunes on April 27, 2010 following
its debut on the series. The track quickly became the first track to chart on
the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at 93 thanks to the sales of digital music. To
promote their debut album, Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget About
You" on September 21st 2010. The album, called BTR it was released on
October 11, 2010. The album reached the top 3 spot on the Billboard 200 and
sold 67,000 copies within its first week.
