Brooke Christa Shields was born May 31 of 1965. When she was a model as a child, she received acclaim from critics for her leading role in Louis Malle's movie Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling into her teens, and was featured in numerous dramas in the 1980s, including The Blue Lagoon (1980), and Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981).In 1983, Shields stopped her career as a model and enrolled at Princeton University, where she received a bachelor's degree in Romance Languages.
