Bruce Willis

Musician and actor Bruce Willis is well known for playing wisecracking or hard-edged characters, often in spectacular action films. Together, they've appeared in movies that have grossed more than $2.5 billion dollars. Walter Bruce Willis, a actor from West Germany, was born in Idar–Oberstein West Germany on March 19 1955. He was the son of Marlene Kassel (from Carneys Point), and David Andrew Willis (from New Jersey) who resided on a military base in the United States. His family moved to U.S. soon after he was born. Willis was born in Penns Grove by his mother who worked in an institution, and his father, who was a welder employed in a factory and welder. Willis started to take an interest in the dramatic arts while in high school. He was "discovered" during his time working at a New York City cafe. In the following years, he appeared in various off-Broadway productions. When he was bartending and he was noticed by an acting director who liked his character and was looking for a bartender for a small movie role. Willis auditioned for a variety of roles in films however, he was not given credit. He eventually got the part of David Addison, a private investigator, playing Cybill Shepherd, in the romantic comedy series Moonlighting (1985). His sarcastic and wisecracking P.I. is seen by some as an attempt to play the role of the hard-boiled NYC detective "John McClane" in the horror film Die Hard (1988), in which Willis the character alone fought the ruthless international thieves in the Los Angeles skyscraper. In Die Hard 2 (1990) He reprised the character. A group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers is trying to bring back a corrupt South American general. They are set in Washington's Dulles International Airport. A record-breaking box office performance prompted a further sequel Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995) and this time with co-star Samuel L.
